Govt will help Ramdev to establish Yoga University in Haryana


Chandigarh, 6 October
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today offered all assistance of the State Government to Swami Ramdev in setting up of a Yoga University in the State.
The Chief Minister was addressing the participants of a yoga camp being conducted by Swami Ramdev in Narnaul today.
Mr Hooda appreciated the efforts made by Swami Ram Dev in popularising the culture of yoga in the world saying that his efforts would result in ushering in a Yoga revolution which would prove beneficial for the future generations. Swami Ramdev has brought laurels to the State and made every Haryanvi feel proud.
He assured all-round development of the southern area of the State and
added that the decision to set up a Central University in this area of
the State would lead to development of the area.
He pointed out that this area had been facing shortage of water because of some natural factors and vested political interests. The State Government has constructed Hansi-Butana link canal to contain this problem. He assured that the efforts of the government would succeed in ensuring supply of water up to the
tailend. He also criticised those who were creating hindrances in the
construction of Hansi-Butana link canal.
The Chief Minister released some books of yoga brought out by Yoga
Vigyan Samiti, Narnaul.
Impressed by the yogic exercises performed by Parveen Brahamchari
Sandeep, the Chief Minister announced to give him a reward of Rs 51,000.
Guru Ramdev also said that trainers of yoga have been prepared to impart training to the people all villages and dhanis of Haryana. He stressed that yoga
should be made a way of life.
Those present on the occasion included Parliamentary Secretary Rao
Dan Singh, local MLA Radheyshyam Sharma, MLA Naresh Yadav,
Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Prof. Virender Singh, Acharya
Pardhuman, and Deputy Commissioner Amneet P. Kumar.
