Jat Sabha organising Poster Making competition

CHANDIGARH, NOV 18

The Jat Sabha Chandigarh is conducting a poster making competition in its office in Sector 27, Madhya Marg on November 24. The theme of the poster making is "Pollution Free Atmosphere". Former Director General of Police Dr MS Malik, who is also president of Jat Sabha Chandigarh, said that the competition would begin at 10 a.m and last one hour.
The basic aim of organising such competition is to encourage and inspire children to take interest in art and painting and develop their skills. Dr Malik said that competition had been divided into three categories -- Category A (class III to V), Category B (Class VI to VIII) and Category C (class IX to XII).
A panel, comprising prominent personalities, has been formed to choose the winners. Mr RK Malik, Dilbagh Singh Sihag, RR Sheoran and Dr Rajwanti Mann are members of the selection panel. Prizes will be given soon after the competition results are announced. The winners of first three positions in each category will receive Rs 400, Rs 300 and Rs 200, respectively. They will also be given merit certificates.
Dr Malik said that two consolation prizes of Rs 100 in each category would also given.
Entries close on November 22 at 5 p.m. at Jat Bhawan, Sector 27 A, Madhya Marg, Chandigarh.
