Former BCCI chief Ranbir Singh bereaved


Governor, CM express shock over Vidya Devi's death

Chandigarh, Feb 10

Haryana Governor Dr A.R.Kidwai and Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda have expressed grief over the sad demise of Mrs Vidya Devi, wife of former Haryana Chief Minister Bansi Lal, who breathed her last at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi today.
She was 84. She is survived by four daughters at a son.
In a condolence message issued here today, the Governor and Chief Minister said that she was a God fearing lady and used to remain concerned about the welfare of the poor sections of the society.
According to family sources, her mortal remains would be kept at the residence of her son Mr Ranbir Mohindera, MLA in Bhiwani tomorrow up to 3 p.m.to enable the people pay their last respects. Ranbir Singh is also former president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
From there her body would be taken to her native village Golagarh in Bhiwani district where the funeral would take place at 4 p.m.
