Army to recruit religious teachers in March

Recruitment of Junior Commissioned Officers (Religious Teachers- Pandit, Granthi, Monk and Padre) RRT- 62 and 63 courses in Army will be held inMarch 2010.
While disclosing this here today, a spokesman of the Army Recruiting Office, Ambala Cantt. said that the civilian candidates applying for RRT course Ser No.-62 should be between 27 and 34 years of age and remustered candidates should be between 25 to 34 years of age as on July 12, 2010 and for RRT course Ser No.-63, civilian candidates should be between 27 and 34 years of age and remustered candidates should be between 25 to 34 years of age as on September 6, 2010.
The minimum qualification for appointment of Junior Commissioned Officers was graduation in any discipline from a recognised University and they must also possessed prescribed qualifications according to the religious denomination of the individuals, he added.
He said that preliminary screening test including medical would be held from March 6 to 9, 2010 for candidates belonging to Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and UT Chandigarh. Exact date and place would be intimated in the call letter to the short listed candidates.
The written test would be conducted at Army Recruiting Office, Ambala Cantt. on March 14, 2010. The call letters for interview would be issued to the successful candidates by Army Headquarters at nominated training centres, he added.
He said that applications duly completed in all respect alongwith self addressed registered envelops should reach the Examination Cell, Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Ambala Cantt. by January 23, 2010.
