Killing of innocent Sikhs namely Jaspal Singh and Mahal Singh by the so-called Taliban Militants in Pakistan is a crime against humanity whether it was on account of denial of ransom or refusal of conversion to Islam under coercion. This was condemned here by Dr .M.S. Malik, IPS(Rtd.), President Jat Sabha Chandigarh, Federation of Jat institutions and former Director General of Police, Haryana along with all members of the Institutions.
Dr. Malik further stated it is a matter of record that Indians staying across the Globe particularly Australia, Pakistan etc. either as permanent residents or students or bread earners are being threatened/killed. Hence they are feeling insecure. Even so much so Talibans committed loot and arsons on peace living Sikhs families in Pakistan and imposed “Jizia” last year.
Above all, Dr. Malik further disclosed that Jats and Sikhs are the “Bravest of the bravos” for defending the national frontier and always made more than 80% contributions for maintenance of security, integrity and sovereignty of our great Nation.
Thus, he further called upon the Government of India to remain more alert and sensitive for the safety and security of Indians residing in Pakistan and other countries. As a former Police Chief of Haryana he also expressed serious concerns over the threatened internal security scenario in the country and ever increasing incidents of killings of civilians and security personnel by Moist, Naxals and militants in different parts of the country particularly West Bengal, J & K., Bihar, Jharkahand etc. in the recent past during the months of January, February this year. Incidents of killing as per the latest available data since the year 2007 in West Bengal are on the increase. In the year 2007 more than 1565 such incidents occurred whereas it has gone up to more than 2200 in the year 2009. More than 450 civilians and 230 security personnel were killed in such incidents in the year 2007. Similarly, more than 580 civilians and 300 police/security personnel were killed in 2009 in West Bengal alone. Latest killing of 24 cops in Slida, Mitnapore Distt of West Bengal on 15th February is one the more ghastly and beastly act by Moist through dare devil attack on the West Bengal’s Eastern Frontier Fifles.
He further added it is quite pathetic to learn that the diseased brave cops were ill equipped with World War 2 Weaponry i.e. quite 303 rifles and were also ill trained visa-vis Moist who are highly motivated armed with sophisticated weaponry.
Thus, apart from the necessity of deep planning, coordination and execution at the highest level by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, all the security forces need to be trained, equipped with latest weaponry and safety devices so as to fight with grave menace to internal security in different states of the country particularly West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, J & K. etc. with firm determination and confidence.
Further, Dr. Malik with all members of the Institutions also expressed heart-stricken condolences to the members of the bereaved families i.e. both the Sikhs families in Pakistan, cops killed in West Bengal, 20 brave soldiers who were lynched during avalanche in J & K. and that of eleven innocent villages killed in Bihar.
