TTD to set up Balaji Temple at Kurukshetra

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), Tripupati, Andhra Pradesh has decided to set up Balaji Temple at the holy land of Kurukshetra in Haryana and this temple would be a true replica of Lord Balaji, Tirupati.
This was conveyed to Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda
by the Chairman of TTD Mr Adikeshavulu Naidu, in a meeting held at New
Delhi today.
The Chairman of TTD had requested Mr Hooda for allotting land for the temple at Kurukshetra. Mr Hooda welcomed their decision and agreed to provide five acres of land free of cost to the TTD for setting up Balaji Temple at Kurukshetra.
The Chairman of TTD Mr Naidu said that besides being a replica of Lord Balaji Tirupati, the temple would also replicate the architectural and ornamental values of temple. The Balaji temple is likely to be constructed within a period of three years. The TTD intends to depict 10 Avtaras of Lord Vishnu, with Lord Balaji in the
sanctum sanctorum in the premises of the temple. This will highlight the historic and religious prominence of Kurukshetra and Lord Krishna’s role in enlightening Arjuna and the Hindu Dharma, in Bhagavad Gita.
TTD appreciated the gesture of Haryana Government, Haryana Governor, Mr Jagannath Pahadia, Haryana Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB) for giving five acres of land to TTD free of cost. Considering the fact that a large number of tourists from this region visit Tirupati Temple regularly, setting up of Tirupati Temple in Kurukshetra will fulfill the
aspirations of devotees of Lord Balaji. TTD and KDB agreed to jointly develop holy places in Kurukshetra. The setting up of Tirupati Temple in Kurukshetra would further give fillip to tourist inflow in the region.
The Executive Officer of TTD Mr I.Y.R. Krishna Rao and TTD Advisor at Delhi, Dr A.Sankra Reddy were also present in the meeting.
