820 attend Sports Talent Hunt trials

As many as 820 sportspersons in various age groups appeared in the Sports and Physical Aptitude Test (SPAT)-2010 conducted by the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Haryana under Haryana Sports Talent Hunt Programme today at Bhiwani, Rohtak, and Panchkula.
While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Department said that out of the total sportspersons who appeared for test today, 10 boys of various age groups appeared at Panchkula, 300 boys and 52 girls of the age group between 13 to 14 years appeared at Rohtak and 415 boys and 43 girls of the age group between 17 to 18 years appeared in the SPAT-2010 at Bhiwani.
It may be recalled that the Haryana Government has launched a Sports Talent Hunt programme in the State to identify and promote the sportspersons in the age group of 8-19 years. The SPAT was being conducted at different places in the State since April 15.
