Haryana preparations for CW Queen's Baton Relay

A meeting under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Secretary Urvashi Gulati will be held in her committee room on May 21, for reviewing the preparation made for the smooth passage of the Queen's Baton Relay of Commonwealth Games, Delhi – 2010 through the State.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department said that a team of Organising Committee Commonwealth Games 2010-Delhi would visit Haryana on May 29 and remain in the State till June 1. On May 29, the team would hold meeting at Hisar, on May 30 at Kaithal and Kurukshetra, on May 31 at Jind and Rohtak and on June 1 at Gurgaon. The team would review security plan prepared to ensure the safety and security of Queen's Baton Relay during its passage through State.
Commonwealth Games would be held in Delhi in October 2010 and the Queen's Baton Relay of these games would begin with the entry of baton from Pakistan at Wagah border on June 25, 2010.
