Jat Sabha to organise Essay Writing Competition.

CHANDIGARH, JULY 10
The Jat Sabha Chandigarh is organizing “Bhai Surender Singh Malik Memorial on the Spot All India Essay Writing Competition” for College, Universities and School students of classes X, XI and XII on July 15 at Jat Bhawan, 2-B, Sector 27-A, Madhya Marg, Chandigarh from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Dr. M.S. Malik, IPS (Rtd.), former Director General of Police, Haryana and President Jat Sabha, Chandigarh stated that the Competition vividly offers an opportunity to the young students of the schools and colleges/universities to play their significant rich and constructive role in promoting the creative interests for educational & cultural activities through their rich thoughts. Besides Jat Bhawan the competition will be conducted on the following five centres in Haryana as well:-
i) Ch. Bharat Singh Memorial Sports School, Nidani, Distt. Jind (Haryana).
ii) Bhai Surender Singh Malik Memorial Girls Senior Secondary School, Nidani, Distt. Jind).
iii) Government High School Hajwana, Distt. Kaithal.
iv) Gyandeep Model High School Sector 18, Panchkula.
v) St. Vivekanand Millennium School HMT township, Pinjore.
Dr. Malik further added that the topic of the Essay will be announced before the start of the Contest which may be on the burning problems/current events of the society. The competition will be for College/University and School Students from class X and above in two categories i.e. Rural and Urban Area.
Entries for this contest may be sent on any of the above mentioned centres with fee of Rs. Ten only. The best essay will be awarded a Gold Medal and cash of Rs. 2100, the second and third runner ups will get Silver & Bronze Medals and cash prizes of Rs. 1500 and Rs. 1100 respectively and four consolation prizes of Rs. 600. Rs. 500/- and two prizes of Rs. 400 each will be given in each category.
Further, the result of the Essay Competition will be conveyed to the students by post after checking of the papers by Scholars of Punjab University Chandigarh. Winners of the Competition will be honoured on the occasion of Basant Panchmi Function which the Sabha will organize to celebrate the 129th Birth Anniversary of Deen Bandhu Sir Chhotu Ram, the tallest and renowned leader of peasants and down-trodden of pre-partition era on 08th February, 2011 at Jat Bhawan Chandigarh.
This contest is held every year and sponsored by Bhai Surinder Singh Malik Memorial Institute of Medical Science & Educational Research, Nidani, Distt. Jind (Haryana).
