DPS Pinjore celebrates 64th Independence Day

PINJORE (HARYANA), AUG 13
Delhi Public School Pinjore celebrated the 64th Independence Day with a patriotic fervour today. The programme commenced with the flag hoisting after which the Principal Mr. Samson Masih addressed the students wishing everyone on the occasion of this National Festival.
He reminded the children that everyone has to do their bit to take the country ahead on the path of progress. The sincerity, dedication, conscientiousness and a love for the country are the values which if respected and practiced by everyone, pave the path of success and glory.
Dr. Suman Kumar, a world renowned ENT specialist, who has been instrumented in planning and starting a drive to control Asthama among young students, also graced the occasion. He gave away the certificates to the winners of the competition which was organized on Asthma Day and winners of various Inter-house, Inter class and Intra class activities held since the beginning of the session 2010-2011 were also honoured on this occasion.
A cultural programme presented by the young, enthusiastic Dipsites comprised  Group Song Kranti Ki Mashal Se Mashal Ko-Desh Ke Jwan Tu Jalaye Ja, Group Dance Bharat Hymko Jaan Se Pyara Hai and solo songs Ho Jao Taiyar Sathiyo, Aazadi Ki Khuli Hawa Mein , Chandan Hai is Desh ki Matti and Apne Tan Ko Man Ko dhan Ko Desh Ko De De Daan Re &. and concluded by a young guitarist who played Kadam Kadam Bhadai Jaa etc.
Two tableaus put up by class X, XI and XII students took every one back to the memory lane of the freedom struggle. This set up a spriti of patriotism among all. The programme concluded with the distribution of sweets.
