Army to recruit 320 Havildar Education in AEC

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 27 The Army Recruitment Office, Ambala Cantonment. will conduct recruitment for 320 vacancies of Havildar Education in the Army Education Corps in Group X and Y March 2011 batch during  November, 2010.
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Army Recruitment Office said that the prospective candidates would have to forward their applications along with related documents to the Headquarters for preliminary screening and medical examination as per the programme. He said that the applications pertaining to other Recruiting Zones would not be accepted. Out of the total vacancies, 130 had been reserved for the candidates belonging science stream and the remaining 190 were  reserved for Arts stream.
          He said that as per the eligibility criteria, the applicant should be between 20 to 25 years of age as on march 7, 2010. He should possess the required academic qualification and would have to meet the required physical and medical standards as applicable to the regular Army. Only male candidates would be eligible. The candidates for X group should have passed MA/M.Sc./MCA or BA/B.Sc./BCA with B.Ed from any recognized university whereas for group Y, candidates should have passed BA/B.Sc.BCA without B.Ed. from any recognized university, he added.
          He said that preliminary screening of the candidates would be held under the Army Recruiting Office, Palampur at Sapri, Himachal Pradesh for the candidates hailing from Haryana (except Gurgaon, Faridabad, Palwal and Mewat districts), Himachal Pradesh and UT Chandigarh. The candidates who qualify the screening would have to appear in written examination at the Ambala Office on November 28, 2010.
        He said that the successful candidates would have to clear a teaching aptitude test and an interview at the Army Education Corps Training College and Centre at Pachmarhi Madhya Pradesh from February 16 to 19, 2011. The last date for receipt of  applications is October 23, 2010. The completed application forms should be addressed to The Examination Cell, Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Ambala Cantt”, he added.
