GJUST invites applications for admission to various distance education courses

Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar has invited applications for admission to various distance education programmes for the session 2010-11.
      While stating this today, a spokesman of the University said that the courses for which applications have been invited included PGDCA/MCA-first year, MSc Computer Science and MCA-second year (lateral entry), MCA-third year (lateral entry) and MCA (5-year Integrated Course after 10+2); Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, Master of Insurance Business, Master of Commerce, PG Diploma in Taxation and PG Diploma in Industrial Safety Management; BA, MA in Mass Communication, PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations and MA (Mass Communication)-second year (lateral entry); PG Diploma in Environmental Management, PG Diploma in Bakery Science and Technology, PG Diploma in Counseling and Behaviour Modification and MSc (Mathematics).
         Without late fee admissions to PGDCA/MCA-first year, MSc Computer Science/MCA-second year (lateral entry), MCA-third year (lateral entry), Master of Business Administration and MSc (Mathematics) courses would be made up to September 30 and with a late fee of Rs 1,000 up to October 31, 2010. Without late fee admissions to MCA (5-year Integrated Course after 10+2), Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Insurance Business and PG Diploma in Counseling and Behaviour Modification courses would be made up to October 31, with a late fee of Rs 500 up to November 30 and with a late fee of Rs 1,000 up to December 31, 2010.
      The spokesman said that entrance test for MBA/MCA (3 years)/MCA (5 years Integrated) would be held on September 19 at the study centres offering these courses. However, if needed, one more test might be conducted on October 24. The candidates were advised to register themselves for the test with the nearest University approved study centres.
    The prospectus could be obtained from the Directorate of Distance Education, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar or from any study centre approved by the University, he added.
