Jat Sabha to organize Poster Making contest

Dr. M.S. Malik, IPS (Rtd.), former Director General of Police, Haryana and President Jat Sabha, Chandigarh said here today that the annual Poster Making Competition for schools will be organized by Jat Sabha Chandigarh on November 25 at 10 a.m at Jat Bhawan, 2-B, Sector 27-A, Madhya Marg, here.
Dr. Malik said that this competition is organized every year to inculcate creative spirit for arts and painting among the students and polish the existing potential among them. To widen the scope of talent search in this field and give incentive to the deserving children, the contest is classified into three categories -- Category A (Class III to V), Category B (Class VI to VIII) and Category C (Class IX to XII).
Dr. Malik further added that a Judge’s Committee comprising Mr. R.K. Malik Senior Advocate Punjab & Haryana High Court, Mr. R.R. Sheroran, EIC.(Rtd.)PWD (B&R) Haryana, Dr. (Mrs.) Rajwanti Mann, Deputy Director, Archeology, Haryana, Prof. M. L. Dhawan Mr. R.K. Malik, Mr B.S.Gill and two drawing experts from Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary School, Sector 27 and Bhawan Vidyalaya School Sector 27, Chandigarh will scrutinize and select the poster and result of the contest will be announced on the same day after completion of the competition. The prizes winners will be honoured on the eve of Basant Panchmi and Sir Chhotu Ram Jayanti Celebrations on February 8, 2011 at Deen Bandhu Sir Chhotu Ram Jat Dharamsala Sector 6 Panchkula. In each category there will be cash prizes of Rs. 400, Rs. 300, Rs. 200 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively and two consolation prizes of Rs.100 each in both categories.
The topic of the Poster will be “Rising Prices” and the duration will of one hour. The participants should bring with them the card board and painting material and the drawing sheets will be given by the organizers. The entries of the contest may be sent to the Coordinator of the Competition at Jat Bhawan, Chandigarh up to November 22 by 5 p.m.
