Jat Maha Kumbh on Feb 20 in Uttrakhand

A national, non-political Jat Sammelan will be held at RBS Inter College Nangal Soti (Uttrakhand) on Bijnaur-Haridwar Road from 10 a.m to 4 p.m on February 20. All Jats including Jat Sikh, Jat Muslsism, Jat Bisnoi, Jat Janni, Jat Christians from various states namely J& K, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttrakhand, West Bengal, Tamial Nadu will attend the Sammelan which is named as “Jat Maha Kumbh”.  
     Dr. M. S. Malik, IPS(Rtd.) former Director General of Police, Haryana and President, Jat Sabha Chandigarh and that of Akhil Bhartiya Saheed Samman Sanghrash Samiti will address the Sammelan as chief guest on that day.   A delegation of Jat Sabha consisting of Mr. R.K. Malik, General Secretary, Mr. B. S. Gill, Secretary,  Mr Chander Bhan Pannu and Jai Pal Poonia, executive members will also accompany Dr. Malik.  The function will be presided over by Mr Om Pal Singh Rathee, President Uttrakhand Jat Maha Sabha. 
Mr. H. P. Singh, newly nominated/elected President of Joint Jat Aarakshan Samiti will also address the gathering as Guest of Honour. Sh. Suresh Arya, Editor, Jat Samachar will be Organizing Secretary Jat Sammelan.
        Dr. Malik further said that the issues of social harmony, glorious traditions, customs and Jat culture will be discussed in the Sammelan. Main issue of reservation for Jats under OBC category of 27% in services as well as educational institutions will be raised vociferously during the Sammelan.  Dr. Malik will primarily brief issues connected with demand of  reservation for Jats and will also try to focus on the need for 100% reservation for dependents of war heroes,  Para-military Forces as well as that of police personnel who sacrificed their lives for maintenance of sovereignty, security  and integrity of the  nation while fighting with foreign enemy, terrorists and hardened criminals.
