Shemrock Smiles commemorate festivals

Shemrock Smiles, Bliss & Jolly Prep. Schools together presented a memorable show titled “ Paravanjali” at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Auditorium, HMT, Pinjore to commemorate various festivals and the rich cultural heritage of India. The programme was well attended and applauded by the chief guest Pankaj Yadav,,Director, Elementary Education, Haryana. guests of honour Vinod Kashyap, DIPRO, Panchkula and Mrs. Sudha Jagga, President Media Welfare Club North India and other distinguished guests Dr. D.R. Arora Pro-Vice Chairman DPS Pinjore and Chairman Shemrock Group of Schools and Dr. Mrs Bimla Arora, Director Shemrock Group of Schools Delhi.
 Starting with Ganesh Chaturthi all major festivals according to their sequence in a calendar year were presented by the children in the age group of two years to five & half years. A devotional Ganesh aarti performed in maharashtrian style was followed by a dance depicting various forms of lord Krishna for Janamashtmi. Durga Puja, Navratri, Dusshehra and Diwali followed next. Guru Purab the birth of guru nanak dev ji was shown by the tiny tots of the play group and mont-1.
 Children presented a qawali in observance of the festival of Id. Christmas was full of fun and cheer leading into wishes for a great new year. Lohri had little children telling people to get rid of all negativity and evils prevalent in our society. Holi filled the air with colours and children dancing merrily. Children danced with great  vigour to the beats of dhol to mark the festival of baisakhi. National festivals like independence day and gandhi jayanti. had Mahatama Gandhi sharing his words of wisdom and his teaching of  non-violence  and love amongst all.
 The function was highly appreciated by all present. Parents felt very proud to see their children performing so confidently and attempting items much beyond their years.
 Shemrock deserves an applause for the commendable efforts in putting up a wonderful show with a theme to remind everyone that despite having different faiths and religious beliefs, we are not only one people and one nation but also truly secular.
