Haryana to soon recruit 22,000 teachers

CHANDIGARH, AUG 1
Haryana Government will soon recruit about 22,000 to 23,000 teachers in the state and it has already been decided to set up a separate Teachers Selection Board for the purpose.
This was stated by Haryana Education Minister, Mrs. Geeta Bhukkal while interacting with media persons at Karnal today. She said that now recruitment process of teachers would be carried out on regular basis.
The Minister called upon the teachers not to indulge in political activities and focus on children’s education. If teachers have any grievance, they could meet concerned officers of the department to resolve their issues, she added.
Earlier, while speaking as chief guest in a state level painting competition organized by National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists (NIFAA) to promote world peace and universal brotherhood, Mrs. Bhukkal said that India has always been a fore runner for  world peace. The social organizations have always played a vital role in maintaining peace and mutual understanding. She congratulated the NIFAA for the painting competition organized with a view to spread message of world peace.  The participating children would give message of peace to the entire world through their paintings, she added.
The Minister also announced to give a discretionary grant of Rs  one lakh to NIFAA. She also paid tributes to those  who had lost their lives during Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear explosion.
Director, Japan Information Centre, Embassy of Japan, Mr. Kojiro Uchiyama said that it was such a mega event of painting competition which has broken the record of China and would enter in Guinness Book of World Record. In all about 6,000 children had participated in painting competition at Karnal
On this occasion, MLA Mrs. Sumita Singh, Director, Japan Information Centre, Embassy of Japan, Mr. Kojiro Uchiyama, Chairman NIFAA Mr. Pritpal Singh Pannu, former Minister, Mrs. Meena Mandal, people associated with NIFAA and officers of district administration were also present.
