43 candidates qualified for three years

CHANDIGARH, OCT 7
Mr Dharam Vir, State Election Commissioner, Haryana has disqualified 43 candidates, who contested general elections to Zila Parishad Mahendergarh at Narnaul on June 6,2010. They have been disqualified for a period of three years for not lodging their account of election expenses within a stipulated period of 30 days after the date of declaration of the result of the election. The result of the Zila Parishad election, Mahendergarh was declared on June 14,2010.
          Mr Dharam Vir said that the disqualified candidates included Munshi Singh, Raj Kumar, Rambir, Asha Devi, Amar Chand, Kuldip Singh, Bijender Singh, Urmila, Pushpa Devi, Bhateri, Saroj, Santosh, Ashok Kumar, Parveen Kumar, Leela Ram, Nirmla, Bhupender, Maya, Chander Kalan, Daram Pal, Bhagirath, Mahesh, Hoshiar Singh, Mahipal, Raj Kapoor, Rajpal, Devender, Puran, Ram Niwas, Raj Kumar Soni, Indrawati, Beena, Rajesh Devi, Kailash Devi, Prem, Rajender Singh, Kamali, Dhuma, Mani Devi, Vidya Devi, Savita, Kartar and Ramesh Chand.
          He said that every candidate contesting election for the post of Panch or Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, Member of Panchayat Samiti and Member of Zila Parishad would  have to maintain day to day election expenditure account in accordance with the procedure laid down in paras 4, 5 and 6 of Haryana Panchayati Raj Election Expenditure (Maintenance and Submission of Account) Order, 1996  and would  have to lodge his account of election expenses within 30 days from the date of declaration of result of election in the prescribed format with the Deputy Commissioner or any other officer prescribed by the State Election Commission, Haryana. If a candidate did not do so within the prescribed time limit, he or she could be disqualified by the State Election Commission, Haryana for a period of three years.
