by Haryananewswire (Balbir)
PANCHKULA, OCT 6
Shemrock Smiles Preparatory School, MDC, Panchkula celebrated Dussehra with great religious fervour today. The children were told the story of Ramayana and also staged the ramlella which made them aware of all the characters of the Ramayana.
The director Mrs Teenu Jolly explained the little ones the importance of being good and doing good. Various competitions were held for the children  decorating a crown, drawing and colouring ravana role play etc. Take aways were also given to the children and  sweets were distributed among.
The effigy of Ravana was shown to the children, however it was not put to flames to encourage a green Dussehera and Diwali, the children say "NO" to crackers and to avoid air and noise pollution.  As children we can tell our mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters, aunts & uncles that we need to save the air, the water and the soil in our own little way. Each one of us can plant trees and not break any and make a difference This festival inculcates goodness in children and explains them that bad deeds are always disliked by all thereby one should never opt for any such path which has a bad end.
