Govt to provide quality education in EB blocks

The Haryana Government is all set to provide quality education in the Educationally Backward Blocks (EBBs) of the State. Therefore, Special Model Schools known as “Aarohi Model Schools” are being setup in the EBBs of the State to achieve this objective.
         While stating this here today, Mr.Vijayendra Kumar, Director, School Education Haryana said that Aarohi Model Schools were progressive, secular, child-centric co-educational and committed
to provide quality education. Operated by individual societies headed by the Deputy Commissioner of the district, these schools were being setup under a scheme of Central Government aimed at creation of 6000 Model Schools in educationally backward blocks of the country.As many as 36 such schools have already been setup in the EBBs of Haryana. 
         He said that the blocks where such schools had been setupincluded Bapoli in Panipat district, Hassanpur, Hathin, Hodal and Palwal in Palwal district, Ferozepur Jhirkha, Nagina, Nuh, Punhana,
Taoru in Mewat district, Bhattu Kalan, Bhuna, Fatehabad, Ratia and Tohana in Fatehabad district, Nangal   Chaudhary in Mahendergarh district, Kaithal, Kalayat and Rajaund in Kaithal district, Alewa,
Narwana and Uchana in Jind district, Agroha, Barwala, Hansi-I, Hisar, Narnaund and Uklana in Hisar district, Tosham and Siwani in Bhiwani district, Baragudha, Dabwali, Ellanabad, Nathusari Chopta, Odhan and Rania in Sirsa district.
         These Model Schools would have infrastructure and facilities of the same standard as in a Kendriya Vidalaya. The teacher pupil ratio would not exceed 1:25 and the classrooms would be spacious enough to accommodate at least 30 students, he added.
         Mr. Vijayendra Kumar said that the state Government had invited applications to fill up posts of Principals and various teaching posts of postgraduate teachers in these schools.  All applicants must give three choices of institutions in the order of preference in the application form. Allotting  the stations would be the discretion of the appointing authority and would be primarily based on merit.  All the applications should be submitted onlineonly on the website of the department
www.schooleducationharyana.gov.in by   October  28, 2011.
       The selection process would be conducted at State Council of Educational Research and Training, Gurgaon from October 31  toNovember 2, 2011. No separate call letters would be sent, he added.
