Sports School Rai to admit 100 students in class IV

Moti Lal Nehru School of Sports, Rai in district Sonipat has invited applications to admit 100 students to Class IV for the academic session 2012-13. The students will be admitted strictly on the basis of merit obtained in various admission tests.
          While stating this today, the Principal of the School said that 80 per cent seats have been reserved for Haryana domicile students. As many as 25 students would be admitted to class VI. The students should be between 8 and 10 years of age for admission to class IV and between 10 and 12 years of age for admission to class VI as on June 30, 2012.
          He said that about 40 students would be admitted to Class XI and five students would be admitted to various classes (other than class X and XII) under outstanding sportsperson category on the basis of various tests and trials in relevant disciplines. The sportspersons should be in the age group of 8-17 years and should have participated in junior or senior National level games or obtained first or second or third position in State level competitions.
          He said that prospectus containing all details could be obtained from the school counter on any working day on payment of Rs 900. The students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) have to pay only Rs 450 to get prospectus. It could also be subscribed by post by sending a bank draft of Rs 1000 and of Rs 500 for SC students in the name of Principal and Director, Moti Lal Nehru School of Sports, Rai.
