The Haryana
Government has accorded its approval for filling up 285 posts of medical
officers in Civil Hospitals in the state.
While stating this here today, Health Minister Rao Narender Singh said that in
order to meet the shortage of doctors in civil hospitals, 285 posts of medical
officers were shifted there from Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community
Health Centres (CHCs). Now these posts were being again shifted to PHCs and
CHCs. As the Government had accorded approval, thus, recruitment would soon be
made on these posts, he added.
Rao Narender said that there would be no shortage of doctors in rural and urban
areas with the creation of these new posts in PHCs and CHCs. One each male and
female doctor could be appointed at every centre. He said that under the
dynamic leadership of Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, state
government is committed to provide best medical facilities to the people.
Efforts were also being made to give better opportunities to those who had
opted medical education as career. New medical colleges were being opened in
this direction. Apart from this, MBBS seats in PGIMS, Rohtak had also been
increased so as to facilitate the youth of the state.
