HAU starts admission process for various courses

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 27
Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar has started the admission process for under-graduate and post-graduate courses for the academic session 2012-13.
          While stating this today, a spokesman of the University said that admissions would be done for four-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, six-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, four-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science, six-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science, M.Sc. Food Science and Technology, Bio-informatics and Molecular Biology and Bio-technology, post-graduate courses of Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Basic Science and Home Science for the new academic session. Also, admissions would be done for post-graduate diploma courses in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Communication Skills in English and English-Hindi Translation, Graphic and Video Production and Remote Sensing and Geophysical Information System Application in Agriculture and Environment.
          He said that admissions in four-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, M.Sc. Food Science and Technology, Bio-informatics and Molecular Biology and Bio-technology courses would be done on the basis of entrance examination and admissions in other courses would be done on the basis of merit. He said that according to policy of Haryana government, admissions in B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering), MBA (general) and MBA Agri-business would be done on the basis of merit got in All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) or Management Aptitude Test (MAT). He said that entrance examination for admissions in 4-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, M.Sc. Food Science and Technology, Bio-informatics and Molecular Biology and Bio-technology would be organised on June 9 while entrance examination for 6-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture would be organised on June 24.
          He said that the last date for submission of application forms for four and six years B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science courses is June 14 and last date for the submission of application form with late fee of Rs 100 is June 21. He said that for the rest of the courses, the last date for submission of application forms is May 14 and with late fee of Rs 100 is May 21.
          He said that the application forms and prospectus could be obtained from room number 202 of Fletcher Bhawan of the University and post offices at all district headquarters including Kaul and Bawal. He said that the application forms could also be downloaded from University's website www.hau.ernet.in.
