HSIIDC finalises plot allotments for 51 projects

 Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has finalized plot allotments for 51 prestigious projects, catalyzing a total investment of about Rs 3,000 crore. These projects will  generate direct employment opportunities for more than 20,000 persons.
            While stating this here today, a spokesman of HSIIDC said that out of these 51 projects, 33 prestigious projects would  be set-up at IMT Faridabad, with capital investment of  over Rs. 2,000 crore. These  would generate direct employment avenues for more than 16,000 persons and for many more indirectly.
            IMT Faridabad, which is strategically located, is being developed over an area of 1784 acres. Development works to the tune of Rs. 310.56 crores had already been allotted and the work at site was in full swing and was likely to be completed by April 2013. Nearly 35 per cent of infrastructure development work had  already been completed, he added.
            He said,"Plot allotments for eight prestigious projects to be set-up at Growth Centre, Bawal, involving capital outlay of more than Rs. 650 crore and employment generation potential for more than 2,500 persons, have also been finalized. The companies allotted plots at Bawal included M/s Hero Steels Ltd., M/s Sona Okegawa Precision Forgings Ltd., M/s Multi Kenzai Steels Pvt. Ltd., M/s Nikko Auto Ltd., M/s Techno
Auto Components (I) Pvt. Ltd., M/s Nipman Fasteners Industries Pvt. Ltd., M/s Casewell Drilling Services (P) Ltd. and M/s Advancetek Engineering Services."
            The companies which have been allotted plots for setting up prestigious projects at IMT Faridabad included M/s Lakhani Shoes and Apparel Pvt. Ltd., M/s Hindustan Syringes and Medical Devices Limited, M/s Sanden Vikas (India) Ltd., M/s Glen Appliances Pvt. Ltd., M/s Sterling Tools Ltd., M/s Imperial Auto Inds. Ltd., M/s Indo Auto Tech Ltd., M/s Action Construction Equipment Ltd., M/s Bachmann Industries India Ltd., M/s Sunflame Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., M/s Sadhu Forging Ltd., M/s India Forge Auto Products Ltd., M/s San Aerospace Ltd., M/s Digi Drives Pvt.Ltd., M/s EON Electric Ltd., etc., he added.
            The spokesman said that besides IMT Faridabad and Growth Centre Bawal, allotments for setting up of prestigious projects at some other estates like  IMT Manesar, Industrial Estate Kundli, Industrial Estate Barwala, Industrial Estate Panipat, Industrial Estate Karnal and Gurgaon had also been finalized. Projects in these estates would be set-up by many entrepreneurs including M/s Deepak Fertilizer and Petrochemical Corporation Ltd., M/s Nancy Crafts Pvt. Ltd., M/s Mangla Apparels (India) Pvt. Ltd., M/s Bsy Products Pvt. Ltd.
            He said that  the projects sanctioned for plot allotment encompass diverse fields, such as-automobile components, footwear, surgical products, home appliances, high-fashion garments, IT and ITES, printing press, fertilizers, etc. These projects, largely in manufacturing sector, would give boost to economy of the region and generate immense employment opportunities.M/s Sona Okegawa Precision Forgings Ltd. of Sona Group, already supplying to leading automobile manufacturers as an OEM, would set up expansion project at Growth Centre Bawal on 10 acre plot with project investment of Rs. 136 crore,he added.
            He said that M/s Multi Kenzai Steels Pvt.Ltd. is setting up a project for manufacture of Solar Panel Framing system at Growth Centre, Bawal on plot area of 4.5 acres. The project to be set-up in joint-venture with M/s Ohmi Industries of Japan would involve capital investment of Rs. 47.28 crore. M/s Nikko Auto Ltd., a part of United Machines Group, which is into supply of equipment and systems in technical collaboration with Magneti Marelli, Italy; Maier S. Coop, Spain; Nikko Auto Corporation,Japan and Nohmi Bosai Ltd., Japan is setting up expansion project for manufacture of auto parts at Growth Centre, Bawal, with capital investment of Rs. 36.86 crore.M/s Lakhani Shoes and Apparels Pvt. Ltd. of Lakhani Group, with group turnover in excess of Rs.460 crore, has been allotted five acres plot at IMT Faridabad for setting up of a footwear unit. The company’s existing units are located at Faridabad and Haridwar and the expansion project at IMT Faridabad would be set up with project investment of Rs.79.81 crore,he added.
            The spokesman pointed out that the HSIIDC has allotted 10 acres of land to M/s Hindustan Syringes and  Medical Devices Limited for setting up of a manufacturing unit of glass syringes, scalp vein infusion sets at IMT Faridabad. The project to be set up with capital investment of Rs.328.43 crore would provide employment avenues for 2,000 persons. The company is one of the top five manufactures of syringes and needles in the world and exports 20 per cent of its production. The company’s existing unit is located at Faridabad, employing more than 2,800 persons and the proposed expansion project at IMT Faridabad would enhance its manufacturing capacity.
            M/s Glen Appliances Pvt. Ltd. with existing units at Baddi and Faridabad, is now setting up expansion project at IMT Faridabad over land area of five acres for manufacture of home appliances with capital investment of Rs. 102.56 crore. The company is into manufacturing of a wide range of home appliances and recorded sales of Rs. 110.08 crore during 2011-12,he added.He said that M/s Hero Steels Limited, a part of Brij Mohan Lal Munjal Group, with group turnover of five billion US dollars had been allotted 20 acre land at Growth Centre Bawal for setting up of a project for manufacturing of precision welded sub-assemblies with its own press-shop and service center. The project would involve investments to the tune of Rs.309.80 crore and generate employment opportunities for 500 persons.  
            He said that the HSIIDC has also decided in-principle to make offer for allotment of land for setting up Common Facility Centre (CFC) under the Cluster Development Scheme of Government of India to  M/s Kundli Stainless Steel Cluster Services Pvt. Ltd. at Industrial Estate Kundli for stainless steel utensil and cutlery items cluster; M/s CFC Pharma Cluster Pvt. Ltd. at Industrial Estate Karnal for pharma cluster and M/s Karnal Print “N” Pack Cluster Pvt. Ltd. at Industrial Estate Karnal for printing and packaging cluster. These three clusters with combined project investments in excess of Rs. 40 crore would immensely benefit micro, small and medium enterprises of the region.Industries and  Commerce Department has been driving the projects for establishment of Common Facility Centers under the Cluster Development Programme (CDP) / Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Scheme of Government of India at various locations and establishment of such facility is the need of the hour for benefit to all the industrial units forming the part of the cluster,he added.
