CHANDIGARH, AUG 5.
The
Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) of Maharshi Dayanand University
(MDU),Rohtak has been included in the top ten list of India’s Best
Distance Learning Instituions.
The DDE has been ranked as tenth in this
list released by prestigious Career Magazine CAREERS 360 in its August 2012
issue. The DDE has been listed in the best distance learning institutions based
upon parameters like resources and reach, learning experience process and
result and efficiency factors. In last two years, MDU’s DDE was in the first
15th list. But this time it has progressed to the top ten list.
MDU Vice Chancellor Dr. R.P.Hooda has
congratulated the DDE team for this stupendous achievement. He said that the
DDE has taken many dynamic initiatives including introduction of e-governance
for the benefit of the students. He said that university administration will
provide all necessary support for future development of the DDE.
MDU Director, DDE Prof. Narender Kumar said
that the staff members, study centers and the students deserve credit for this
sterling achievement. He expressed his commitment to further expand the
Directorate of Distance Education qualitatively as well as quantitatively.
The DDE is planning separate technical
support centre to make its delivery mechanism to more students centric and
efficient. MDU DDE has been popular amongst the students for its traditional as
well as professional courses.
