CHANDIGARH, AUGUST 1
The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, said that an
Industrial Estate would be set up in Yamunanagar over an area of 550
acres for which the land has already been identified and a notification
in this regard would soon be issued.
Mr. Hooda, who was addressing the industrialists in Yamunanagar today
said that the Industries Minister Mr Randeep Singh Surjewala and
Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Industries would soon
hold a meeting with the Industries Associations of Yamunanagar to sort
out their different issues.
Referring to the issues of the industrialists, the Chief Minister said that some of their problems were related to the whole State and some were area specific which could be sorted out. Every possible step would be taken by the State Government to ensure industrial development of the area.
The Chief Minister said that Yamunanagar has been a famous industrial town. Earlier, the town was famous for metal industry now it has emerged as a Plywood hub. ‘We want to develop a framework to make Yamunanagar number one district in the State with your support and assistance’, added Mr. Hooda.

said that the State Government has now come up with a unique farmer
friendly land pooling scheme so as to ensure the participation of land
owners in the development process. This would lead to the expansion of
the industry besides benefiting the land owners, he further added.
Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Mr. Phool Chand Mullana, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Ram Kishan Gujjar, Political Advisor to Chief Minister Prof. Virender Singh, Additional Media Advisor Mr. Kewal Dhingra, and Congress leader Mr Devender Chawla and a number of members of various industrial organizations were also present on this occasion.
