Panchkarma therapy facility in all Haryana Govt hospitals

Haryana Health Minister Rao Narender Singh today said that Ayush Department will start Panchkarma therapy facility in all Government hospitals of the state and Government Hospital Gurgaon will soon start this traditional treatment facility.
          The Health Minister said that the State Government was taking effective steps to promote traditional systems of medicine  like ayurveda, homeopathy and unani and various schemes were implemented through AYUSH Department for this purpose. He said that treatment was possible for chronic diseases like high blood pressure, sugar, breathing problems, skin disorders and psychological diseases with Panchkarma treatment.
He said that the State Government was paying more attention for providing better health services to the people of the state, especially to the children and women. A provision had been made for setting up  special units at Government Hospitals of the state for the care and treatment of new born babies. He said that ‘Indira Gandhi Matritwa Sehyog Yojana’ had been approved as a pilot project in district Panchkula for pregnant and lactating women.
He said that solar water heaters of 100 litres capacity per day had been installed in 194 delivery huts to provide better facilities to pregnant women during their delivery. He said that for the rehabilitation of women suffering from acid attacks, the State Government was providing them interim financial assistance of Rs 25,000. Assistance for free of cost treatment and plastic surgery was also provided to them, he added.
