Promotion of Science Education Scholarship scheme

 With a view to encourage meritorious students towards science stream by giving them scholarships, Haryana Department of Science and Technology has invited applications from those students who are enrolled in M.Sc.(Previous) and B.Sc. Honours-Ist year in the subjects of physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology and Geology in universities  and colleges of Haryana for the academic session 2012-13 under Promotion of Science Education (POSE) Scholarship scheme.

          While stating this today, a spokesman of the department said that M.Sc. students would be given a scholarship of Rs 6000 per month plus contingency stipend of Rs 5000 once in a year as scholarship amount whereas, the students of B.Sc. Honours would be given a scholarship of Rs 4000 per month plus contingency amount stipend of Rs 4000 once in a year. He said that students who have obtained at least 60 per cent marks in their previous passed class were eligible for this scholarship. He said that the subject wise merit list of the candidates for award of scholarship would be prepared as per the criterion laid down in this regard by the department.

          He said that application should be sent in prescribed format and must be submitted to their concerned head of institution or Department. The application form could be downloaded from the website http://www.dstharyana.org  of the department. The last date for submission of the application form is October 19, 2012.
