Dr. V.K. Garg,
Associate Professor, Department of Environmental Science and Engineering,
Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar and nine other
scientists from India have been honoured with ‘Indian Citation Award 2012’ by
Thomson Reuters.
Dr. Garg has special
interest in the field of water pollution and waste water treatment, solid waste
management and radio-ecology.
Dr. Garg has published
more than 150 research papers in reputed international journals and he is a
member of many international academic and research bodies. He was
elected as a Fellow of Biotech Research Society of India during last
year. Dr. Garg has visited several countries for academic and
research purposes. Recently he has been sanctioned a project of Rs.
five crores by DAE-BRNS, Mumbai for the establishment of radio-ecology
centre in the University.
Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr. M.L. Ranga, Registrar Prof. R.S. Jaglan,
Dean and Chairperson Dr. C.P. Kaushik and faculty members of the University
have congratulated Dr. Garg for the prestigious honour.
