Global standard healthcare facilities at Bhadsa

Offering global standard healthcare facilities, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)-II would be operational at Bhadsa in Rohtak District, within a month. In the first phase, the construction work on the Outreach Out-Patient Department (OOPD) building has been completed.
          This was disclosed by Mr Deepender Singh Hooda, Rohtak MP, while speaking to media persons after reviewing the progress on the building of AIIMS-II at Bhadsa, today.
          He said that the Outreach OPD facility would go a long way in augmenting the existing outpatient facilities in the state. It has been built over an area of 4,500 square metres, where various departments, including General Medicine, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Dietician, General Surgery besides diagnostic facilities, immunization and laboratories have been set up.
The MP said that AIIMS-II campus would house the centre of excellence for diseases like cancer. It would also add to the status of Pt.
Bhagwad Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.
Presently, AIIMS is operational only in Delhi. The Central Government has given sanction for setting up five new AIIMS out of which AIIMS-II at Bhadsa is the only institute set up in the rural area. The other institutes would be set up in metros like Kolkata and Chennai.
