CHANDIGARH, OCT 31
Haryana Chief Minister  Bhupinder Singh Hooda has said that the land of Shri Durga Mata Mandir, Banbhauri in district Hisar, which was acquired under the Haryana Shri Durga Mata Shrine Bill, 2012, would be released.
Mr Hooda made this announcement at his New Delhi residence today when the members of  Brahmin Samaj, under the leadership of Assembly Speaker Mr  Kuldeep Sharma  and MLA Mr Venod Sharma, called on him. On this occasion, MP Mr Arvind Sharma and former MLA Mr Ram Kumar and some other prominent Brahmin leaders were also present.
Mr Hooda said that in view of dispute about the land, it was acquired and it was also approved by the Legislative  Assembly. But now, since there is no dispute, therefore, decision has been taken to cancel the acquisition of the land. Necessary legal procedure would be completed in this regard.
Mr Hooda urged the Management of the Temple to provide adequate facilities in the temple for the devotees. Whatever donations are received in the temple, should be properly utilized for the welfare of the people, he said.
Mr Hooda said that Brahmin Samaj has always been supporting the government and government has also made efforts to give sufficient representation to the Brahmin Samaj. In previous government, there was no Brahmin Minister. In my government, Mr Venod Sharma was made Minister and today Mr Kuldeep Sharma is the Speaker of the Assembly. Mr Hooda said that some forces are trying to weaken the country with the help of foreign elements. Even BJP acknowledges this. Need of the hour is to strengthen the hands of Congress party for safeguarding the unity and integrity of the country. For this, cooperation of all sections of the society, including Brahmin Samaj is necessary.
Mr Kuldeep Sharma thanked the Chief Minister for agreeing to the request of the Brahmin Samaj for the release of the land of Mandir and said that Brahman Samaj would continue to support the Congress government in Haryana and at the Centre.
Mr Veond Sharma also thanked Mr Hooda for agreeing to the demand of Brahmin Samaj and said that no other Chief Minister had listened to the problems of the people.
