Police Commemoration Day observed in befitting manner

CHANDIGARH, OCT 21
The Police Commemoration Day was observed in a befitting manner in Haryana today. Functions were organized at all police lines to pay tributes to the martyrs of the Police who had laid down their lives while performing their duties.A two minutes silence was also observed in their memory.
          The state level function was organized at police lines, Panchkula where Director General of Police, Mr. Ranjeev Dalal and other senior police officers paid floral tributes to 570 police Martyrs of various state police forces, para military forces and those of Haryana police who had laid down their lives during this year. These martyrs included four from Haryana Police namely Head Constable, Raj Kumar of district Jind, constables, Sanjay Kumar of district Sirsa, Ram Niwas of district Panipat and Mahabir Singh of Faridabad.
          As a mark of respect to these martyrs, the police jawans fired thrice in the air ,reversed their arms and all those present on the occasion  observed a two-minute silence.
         On this occasion, other senior officers and officials of Police Department at the headquarters also paid tributes to the martyr soldiers.
