49.02 metric tonnes of paddy in Haryana mandis

More than 49.02 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has so far arrived in various mandis of Haryana during the current Kharif season as compared to over 41.93 lakh metric tonnes of paddy arrived during the corresponding period last year.
            While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana Food and Supplies Department said that out of the total arrival of paddy, maximum quantity of paddy has arrived in district Kurukshetra which is over 8.71 lakh metric tonnes. Similarly, district Karnal received over 8.50 lakh metric tonnes of paddy, district Kaithal over 7.08 lakh metric tonnes, Fatehabad over 6.04 lakh metric tonnes, Ambala received more than 5.05 lakh metric tonnes, Yamunanagar over 3.52 lakh metric tonnes, Jind over 2.96 lakh metric tonnes, Panipat over two lakh metric tonnes, Sonepat over 1.59 lakh metric tonnes, Sirsa over 1.51 lakh metric tonnes and Panchkula 74,536 metric tonnes.
            He said that out of the total arrival of paddy, six government agencies had so far procured over 38.13 lakh metric tonnes of paddy whereas the remaining quantity of over 10.88 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was procured by the millers.
            He said that out of the total paddy procured by the agencies, over 14.60 lakh metric tonnes had been procured by Food and Supplies Department whereas HAFED had purchased more than 12.04 lakh metric tonnes, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation over 5.89 lakh metric tonnes, Haryana Warehousing Corporation over 3.21 lakh metric tonnes and CONFED procured over 2.27 lakh metric tonnes of paddy. The Food Corporation of India has also procured 9566 metric tonnes of paddy.
JOINT COMMISSIONER MC PANIPAT
The Haryana Government has entrusted the charge of the post of Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Panipat to City Magistrate, Panipat instead of Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), in addition to his own duties, with immediate effect.
 OM PARKASH GETS ADDITONAL CHARGE
The Haryana Government has posted Om Parkash, HCS, Secretary, RTA, Rewari and Jhajjar as Secretary, RTA, Rohtak vice Mr A. S. Mann, HCS. He has been given additional charge of Secretary, RTA, Hisar against a vacant post.
            Posting orders of Mr A. S. Mann will be issued later on.
