Chief Minister School Beautification Incentive Awards

CHANDIGARH, NOV 22 
With a view to further improve educational and other facilities in  schools and to maintain sanitation, Haryana Government has instituted “Chief Minister School Beautification Incentive Awards”.
            While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that these awards would be given to two schools each bagging first position at block, district and State levels. Out of these schools, one would be primary school and other would be secondary school. He said that at block level, these primary and secondary school would be given cash prize of Rs 50,000 each; at district level, they would be given Rs one lakh each and at State level, they would be given cash prize of Rs five lakh each. He said that under this scheme, cash prizes amounting to Rs 171 lakh would be distributed.
            He said that under this scheme, the Selection Committee   for State level awards would be  headed by Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Haryana School Education Department as Chairman.  Director, SCERT, Gurgaon as Member Secretary. He said that Director, School Education, Director, Elementary Education and Director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and concerned district education officers would be other members of the Committee. He said that District Level Selection Committee would be constituted under the Chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner whereas concerned District Education Officer would be its Member Secretary. He said that District Forest Officer, Programme Officer, Women and Child Development Department and District Elementary Education Officer would be other members of this Committee.
            He said that Block Level Selection Committee would be constituted under the Chairmanship of Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) and Block Education Officer would be its Member Secretary. He said that Child Development Project Officer and two senior principals or Headmasters would be its other members. He said that the schools getting first position at block level would participate in district level competition and those bagging first position in district level would participate for State level awards.He said that funds for awards have already been allotted.
