Formula-1 Type Car star attraction at Haryana Pavioion

CHANDIGARH, NOV 14
Formula-1 type car, which has already bagged two prizes in an all India competition,  is the main attraction at Haryana Pavilion, in India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2012, which began at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi today. The design of the car has been prepared by the students of Faculty of   Engineering and Technology, Manav Rachna International University, Faridabad. The car has been successfully tested at the Mahatma Budh Formula Racing Track, Noida.
Theme of IITF-2012 is “Skilling India” and Haryana Government has aptly  displayed  the skill development activities of its various departments at the Haryana Pavilion in the Trade Fair.
Formula-1 Type Car maded by the students is already very  popular. The car took part in the All India Competition held in July,2011, in which about 100 engineering students participated. The car passed various tests, including Brake Test, Skill Pad Test, Speed Test, Innovation Test. The car got 1st prize in Innovation for bringing novelty in suspension, in which axle movement is vertical. The car also got 2nd prize in Speed Test.
Dr B.S Gill, Associate Director of Faculty of   Engineering and Technology of Manav Rachna International University said that the students have also participated in Shell Eco Marathon held in July, 2012 in Kualalumpur, Malayasia  and went up to track, which is considered as a big achievement for the students. The team of students will also  participate in an event in Tenessy, USA in April, 2013, for which it has qualified and has been registered.
