Holy Child School celebrates annual function

Holy Child School celebrated its 17th Annual Function today at the Tagore Theatre, Sector 18 here. Garima Singh, IRS, Additional Commissioner Income Tax wife of Naunihal Singh, IPS Senior Superintendent of Police was the Chief Guest. Ex Chief Secretary R. S Varma, IAS was the Guest of Honour and  presided over the function.
The Annual Function commenced with the welcome speech of the Director Capt. Aditya Trehan. and Neena Trehan, Principal’s address.  The inaugural lighting of the lamp was performed by the Chief Guest, Director and the Principal .
The entire annual function was a confluence of colours, vibrance, jubilance, creativity and artistic talent of the students. The show began with ‘Namoh Namoh’ - a captivating dance performance with a complete poetry of footsteps and divine music dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The show stoppers were definitely the cuddly tiny lots of class UKG who presented the dances of various countries. The students of classes 1 and 2 presented a magnificent…….. Back to the Basic---- a spectacular depiction of our Elements to show the creation of Man.
A musical enactment in English ‘Aladdin’ was highly applauded and appreciated by the audience. The budding actors of the school presented a commendable satire in Hindi ‘Badalte Rishte’ pertaining to present day issues.
The ease with which the students set the stage rocking with ‘O What a Feeling’ left the audience mesmerized. The audience applauded the spirit of patriotism presented in ‘Incredible India’
The programme concluded with the school song, ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’ followed by The National Anthem where members of the audience also joined in.
On this occasion the chief guest presented awards to the young achievers in the field of academics and sports. He motivated the students to work hard and do well in life. He also commended the confidence and the assiduous efforts of the educators for presenting such a great show.
