Date extended for submitting applications to get subsidy on agriculture implements to Feb 28, 2013

Haryana Agriculture Department has extended the last date for submitting applications to get subsidy on agriculture implements to February 28, 2013. Earlier, the applicant could apply for the subsidy upto November 7, 2012. The last date could  be preponed to an earlier date on achieving the set targets.
          While giving this information today, an official spokesman said that the department was providing subsidy to the farmers for the purchase of different types of agriculture implements during the current financial year. The farmers who intend to take subsidy could apply in prescribed forms directly to concerned Agriculture Development Officer or Block Agriculture Development Officer. More information in this regard could be obtained from the office of agriculture department of the district or the department website www.agriharyana.nic.in.
          He said that the subsidy was being given by the department on eleven agriculture implements. The department provides 50 per cent subsidy on all prescribed agriculture implements. The maximum amount of subsidy has been fixed as Rs. 7000 for cultivator, Rs. 10,000 for tractor mounting sprayer, Rs. 1350 for cono weeder, Rs. 1080 for wheel handho, Rs. 50,000 each for laser land leveler and paddy transplanter, Rs. 5000 for subsoiler,   Rs. 10,000 for multi crop planter and Rs. 15,000 each for zero-till seed drill, rij Planter and seed drill. He said that out of the set targets for giving subsidy under all schemes, 33 per cent had been reserved for small, marginal, scheduled caste and tribe and women farmers.
          The spokesman said that the farmers who intend to apply for the subsidy should have bank account in such a bank which had online facility so that the amount of subsidy could be directly deposited in their bank accounts. The applicant should be a domicile of Haryana. Apart from this, the farmer had not already taken subsidy under any scheme of the State or the Centre Government for the similar agriculture implements from the year 2006-07 to current financial year.
  He said that the farmer had to enclose with the application form, complete details of his bank account, residential and identity proof, bank draft of Rs. 5000 for subsidy on the implements costing more than Rs. 15,000, bank draft of Rs. 2500 for subsidy on the implements costing less than Rs. 15,000. Similarly, for the subsidy on tractor driven implements, the farmer had to enclose the registration certificate of tractor, Photostat copy of first page of bank pass book and a blank cancelled cheque him.
