The Haryana Government has decided to engage the services
of retired specialist doctors on contract basis to meet the shortage in
government hospitals in the state. The proposal has been approved by the Chief
Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Giving this information here
today, Health Minister Rao Narender said that specialist doctors who retired
from the Haryana Civil Medical Services would be engaged on a contract basis
initially for a period of one year. After appraising their performance, the
contract would be extended until they attain the age of 62 years.
He
said that under the able leadership of the Chief Minister, the state government
was committed to providing better healthcare facilities to the people. Constant
efforts are being made to meet the shortage of doctors. Having retired
specialist doctors on contract basis would not only help meet the shortage of
doctors in government hospitals but would also facilitate better medical
facilities, he added.
CASH COLLECTION CENTRES TO REMAIN OPEN
All the cash collection centres of the Haryana Power
Distribution Corporations all over the State will remain open on December 25,
26 and 29, 2012 which are otherwise holidays.
A spokesman of the UHBVN said here today that the
decision to keep the cash collection centres open has been taken to give
facility of making payment of bills on holidays also as this is the last week
of the month.
