Agriculture University, Hisar would celebrate birth anniversary of former Prime
Minister Ch. Charan Singh on December 23 as 'Kisan Day'.
While
stating this today, a spokesman of the University said that on that day, a
number of programmes would be organised in which more than 5000 farmers,
agriculturist women and agriculture scientists from all over the state would
participate.
He
said that a meeting of agriculture scientists and farmers would also be
organised in which present scenario of agriculture and factors to increase
agricultural productivity in the state would be discussed. He said that in this
meeting, the farmers would get a chance to interact directly with the
agriculture scientists and clear their doubts, if any, regarding agriculture
and animal husbandry.
He
said that on this occasion an exhibition would also be organised in which new
techniques of agriculture, animal husbandry and home science developed by the
university would be displayed. He said that private agro companies would also
be given space in this exhibition.
