Asha Hooda urges parents to infuse sense of patriotism among children

CHANDIGARH, JAN 19
 Vice President, Haryana Child Welfare Council, Mrs Asha Hooda has urged the parents that while providing modern education to their children they should also infuse amongst them the sense of patriotism and moral values of life.
          Mrs Hooda  was speaking at a function organised to mark the death anniversary of Ch. Piru Singh after laying the foundation stone of primary branch of Gurukul Senior Secondary School and freedom fighter Bhim Singh Vedalankar Hall  at Kharkhoda today.
          She described Indian culture as the best in the world and said that it was due to the  Gurukuls introduced by our ancestors that we have rich culture.Now it was duty of all of us to maintain our moral values and discharge our social responsibilities, she added.  
Mrs Asha Hooda also called upon the children to identify their social  responsibilities and nip the social evils in their buds. She said that our society has considered  the dignity of women in high esteem,  therefore, we should uphold the dignity of the women and ensure that they progress.
On this occasion, an inter school declamation contest in Hindi was also organized.
