Chief Justice's advice to judges

Chief Justice Punjab and Haryana High Court Mr A.K. Sikri today said that although judiciary has many powers yet it also has certain responsibilities. Therefore, the judge should daily pray that even by mistake no error is committed by him while delivering justice.

          Mr Justice Sikri was speaking after inaugurating a Sub-Divisional Judicial Court at Pataudi in district Gurgaon. It is one of the three such courts to be set up in Haryana during this year. The other two Sub-Divisional Courts would be set up at Sohna and Kalka.

           Mr. Sikri said that with the commencement of this sub divisional court in Pataudi, the people of this area would get justice economically and promptly. He said that para-legal volunteers would visit villages to educate the the people  about their legal rights.  He also urged the people to get their problems resolved through mediation.

Mr Justice Sikri also inaugurated front office and legal aid clinic near the office of Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Pataudi.
