Delhi Public School Pinjore celebrates Republic Day

The celebration of the 64th Republic Day commenced with flag hoisting by the principal Mr. Samson Masih followed by his address to the students. Urging the young proud Indians to be honest, truthful and sincere in their deed to take the nation to greater and glorious heights, he said they must adopt the right means to reach their goals.
After this Daksha gave a talk while Komal Kiran presented a poem. Hiren uppal unfolded many amazing facts related to the Republic Day. The programme was conducted by Shailja, Jahanavi and Spardha. Ms. Arti Gutch impressed everyone with her talk in Hindi which was full of celebration spirit.
The meaning of Republic, Constitution, its preamble, the fundamental rights, Fundamental Duties and the National symbols - their importance and significance - was depicted in a skit and tableau presented by the students which was written by Dr. Kiran Prabhakar and prepared by Ms. Meenakshi Mohan, Ms. Nimisha Talwar and Ms. Gurjeet Kaur on this occasion. The make up for the students was beautifully done by Ms. Neetu.
Beside the skit, a fusion dance showing unity is diversity stole everybody’s heart. ‘Desh Mera Rangeela, Yahan har Kadam Kadam Pe Dharti Badle Rang’ was the theme of this fusion dance.
The Patriotic songs ‘Kadam Kadam Badhae Jaa’ and ‘Na Desh Ke Liye Jiye To Kya Jiye’ added to the patriotic fervor. The programme concluded with distribution of Ladoos.
