Nigam has implemented new time table for power supply
under which 20 hours power is being supplied to urban areas whereas power is
being given for 20 hours and thirty minutes to industrial areas every day.
While
stating this today, a spokesman of the Nigam said that this time
table has been implemented with effect from January 18. Therefore, in urban
areas the power would not be supplied from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.,
7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and in the night between 11 p.m. and 12 midnight. He said that
in agriculture areas, eight hours three phase power is being supplied everyday
and in the first group, power is being supplied from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
He
said that similarly, in second group, power is being supplied between 10 p.m.
and 5 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. In this category, from 3:30 p.m. to
4:30 p.m. three phase power is being supplied for water supply. In
the third group, power is being supplied from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 5
p.m. He said that this evening power supply is being given for water supply.
There would be no change in the rest of the schedule announced earlier.
