Maintenance allowance for inmates hiked

The Haryana Government has revised the maintenance allowance being given to inmates of Bal Gram, Rai and Children Home, Madhuban, run by the Haryana Raj Bal Bhawan from Rs.1000 to Rs.3000 per inmate per month.
          While stating this today, Director General, Women and Child Development Department, Mrs. Sumita Misra said that the total cost of additional expenditure on account of revision of maintenance allowance would be Rs. 45.36 lakh. She said that this revision was imperative both to bring parity between the grant being given to various government or semi government homes as well as to provide the necessary diet and other facilities to the children residing in these Homes.  
          She said that there are 195 children between the age of 7-18 years staying in these two homes. She said that Haryana Raj Bal Bhawan is a Government Society and Registered under Juvenile Justice Act.
