A high power delegation of Haryana led by Public Health Engineering
Minister, Mrs. Kiran Choudhry is in Israel these days to study its urban water
management and treatment technologies.
While stating this here today, an
official spokesman said that the delegation would be in Israel upto June 9.Mrs.
Choudhry would also participate in a workshop on Urban Water Management,
Technologies and Implementation. She is accompanied by Principal Secretary,
Public Health Engineering Department, Mr. Sabran Singh and Engineer-in-Chief
Mr. S.K. Bansal.He said that during the visit, they would get themselves
acquainted with the cutting edge water management and treatment technologies
being practiced in Israel. Also, it would
provide them opportunities to establish new business connections and
professional networks.
Recently a MoU between the Indian Ministry of Urban Development and the Israeli
Ministry of Economy has been signed, providing an ever growing platform for
knowledge sharing and cooperation. The tour has been jointly organized
by Ministry of Economy – Investment Promotion Center, Hagihon – Jerusalem
Metropolitan Water Company, the Standards Institution of Israel, Israel Water
Authority, the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute and the
Weitz Center for Development Studies.
