MC Pundri election programme released

CHANDIGARH, JULY 11

 Haryana State Election Commission has issued the election programme for the conduct of election in all wards of Municipal Committee, Pundri in district Kaithal.

          Stating this here today, State Election Commissioner Mr. Dharmavir said that notice would be published by the Retuning Officer (RO) for inviting nominations on July 12, 2013 whereas, the nomination papers would be presented from July 18 to July 23 between 11 am to 3 pm. List of nomination papers received would also be posted on the same days, he added.

          He said that the candidates would have to furnish information in the format prescribed to the concerned RO before 11 am on July 24 stating that he is not suffering from any disqualification. The scrutiny of nomination papers would be held on the same day from 11:30  am onwards and the candidates could withdraw the candidature on July 25 between 11 am to 3 pm, he further added.

          Mr. Dharamvir said that symbols would be allotted to the contesting candidates after 3 pm on July 25 and the list of contesting candidates would also be posted on the same day. Similarly, the list of polling stations would also be posted on July 25. He said that the poll if any would be held on August 4 between 8 am to 4 pm and the counting of votes would be held immediately after the polling is closed, at the polling station itself on the same day. The election results would be declared immediately after the completion of counting, he added.
