2500 Common Service Centres to be set up Haryana

In Haryana, about 2500 Common Service Centres (CSCs) will be established all across the state in a phased manner to enable delivery of citizen services to the people in electronic mode.  As many as 1600 these centres would be established in the rural areas and 900 in urban areas.
          While giving this information today an official spokesman said that the first phase of the rollout of these centres would involve the establishment of 500 CSCs by March 2014 and remaining in the progressive manner. These CSCs would serve as the main channels for delivery of citizen services to the citizens from various Departments and Agencies of the government.
He said that these CSCs would be located conveniently at the village level and would be opened by village level entrepreneurs who would be appointed through NIC for operating these centres.         He said that initially, Birth and Death registration Certificates, Income Certificate, House tax, Marriage Certificate, payment of electricity bills and other such services are likely to be started at these CSCs.  He said that primarily these Centres would be started in the villages having population of more than ten thousand.
          The spokesman said that as per the scheme of Information Technology Department initially maximum 82 such Centres would be opened in district Bhiwani followed by 74 in Hisar, 72 in Karnal, 68 in Sonipat, 64 each in Jind and Ambala, 58 in Mohindergarh,  52 in Mewat,  54 each in Faridabad and Gurgaon, 48 in Jhajjar, 57 in Rewari, 76 in Yamunanagar, 28 in Panchkula, 45 in Fatehabad, 40 in Rohtak, 39 in Panipat, 58 in Sirsa and 19 in Palwal.
          He said that with the setting up of these centres,  the people residing in rural areas would not be required to visit cities and towns for getting prepared any type of certificate which they would get in their villages.
He said that in Sirsa district such Centres would be established in Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra as in Sirsa district maximum number of Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra have been set up in villages. Hence, it would be convenient to set up Common Services Centres in the district in these centres.  He said that by the year 2014, such centres would be set up in half a dozen villages of Sirsa district. 
          The spokesman said that Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra were being set up in more than 100 villages of the district out of which the work to construct such Centres in 75 villages had been completed. Apart from this, E-library had been set up in 50 villages which were operating smoothly.  He said that Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendras in the district were being utilized as Rajiv Gandhi Gyan Kendras as besides library, Lok Shiksha Kendra was being run in building of such Seva Centres. After opening of Common Service Centres in the building of Rajiv Gandhi Gyan Kendras, the villagers would get more facilities and these building would be utilized in public interest, he further added.
