Haryana Lokayukta’s surprise visit to Balkunj

CHANDIGARH, NOV 9
Haryana Lokayukta Justice (Retd)  Pritam Pal today made a surprise visit to Balkunj at Chhachhrauli, District Yamunanagar and interacted with the children.
          Addressing the children,  the Lokayukta said that if they face any problem they should immediately write in the concerned register or should submit their complaint in the complaint box of their cottage so that any incident or atrocity committed on the children could be conveyed to the high officials at proper time.
          While inspecting the Bal Kunj, the Lokayukta urged the administrative officers to  meet the children residing in the Bal Kunj frequently and check the complaint box and the complaint register. He said that it is the only way through which the gap between the authorities and the children could be plugged and any incident of child atrocity could be avoided.
          He said that the people could play a major role in eradication of corruption. Referring  to the CD incident, he said that recently, a CD has been handed over to him to carry out investigation which is under progress. He said that written notices have been issued to all the MLAs and replies have been demanded. He said that  the matter is still under investigation.
          He also inspected district jail and  redressed the grievances of the prisoners. He issued necessary directions to the jail administration to take measures for the welfare of the jail inmates.
