Ram Kumar and Selja elected unopposed

CHANDIGARH, JAN 31
Mr. Ram Kumar of Indian National Lok Dal and Kumari Selja of Indian National Congress have been elected unopposed in Biennial Election of Rajya Sabha to fill two seats from Haryana.
          Two members of Upper House from Haryana will retire on April 9, 2014 and these seats will be filled by Mr. Ram Kumar and Kumari Selja.
A notification in this regard has been issued by Returning Officer, Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretariat today.
VIDHAN SABHA SUMMONED: The Haryana Vidhan Sabha has been summoned to meet in the hall of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Vidhan Bhawan, Sector 1, Chandigarh at 2 p.m. on Friday, the February 21, 2014.
 ONE TIME REBATE ON PROPERTY TAX:  A notification to this effect was issued by the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretary, Mr.Sumit Kumar here today.
Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced to extend the period to avail one time rebate on property tax dues up to February 15, 2014.
This was stated by Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister Mrs Savitri Jindal here today. She said that the decision in this effect was taken keeping in view the enthusiasm shown by the people for depositing their property tax. She said that earlier the period for one time rebate on payment of property tax dues was valid up to January 31, 2013.
DISBURSEMENT OF PAY: In view of the gazetted holidays falling on February1 and 2, March 1 and 2, May 1 and 31, June 1 and November 1, 2014 for being Saturdays and Sundays, Haryana Government has decided to disburse pay and allowances or pensions or family pension to its employees or pensioners for the months of January, February, April, May and October, 2014 on January 31, February 28, April 30, May 30 and October 31, 2014 respectively.
