CM expresses grief over death of Shakuntala Brij Mohan

 Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has expressed grief over the sad demise of Mrs. Shakuntala Brij Mohan, mother of Mr Krishan Mohan, a former IAS officer of Haryana cadre. She was 93 and was ailing for a long time. She is survived by two sons and her second son is working with Indira Gandhi National Open University.
            In a condolence message issued here today, the Chief Minister described Mrs. Shakuntala Brij Mohan as a pious lady having a flair for writing for which she has been awarded with Veteran Literary Award by Haryana Sahitya Academy. Besides this, she was also intensely drawn towards music.
            Mr. Hooda prayed for the peace of the departed soul and conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.
            Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. K.K. Khandelwal and Director General Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs, Mr Sudhir Rajpal also condoled the death of Mrs. Shakuntala Brij Mohan.
Mrs. Brij Mohan has composed more than a dozen books of story collection in Hindi literature. Her story collection books namely, “UJda Atit” and “Pavitar Jhooth” have been awarded by Haryana Sahitya Akademi. She has also been honoured with Women Empowerment Award by the Akademi in the year 2001.
