Five file nomination papers for Lok Sabha in Haryana

Five candidates filed their nomination papers inHaryana for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections to be held on April 10. The procedure for filing of nominations had started on March 15.
Disclosing this to newsmen here today, Mr Shrikant Walgad, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Haryana, said that Dushyant, son of Ajay Singh, and Naina Singh, wife of Ajay Singh, INLD candidates, filled their nominations for the Hisar Lok Sabha constituency.
Similarly, Virender Verma, son of Shiv Raj, BSP candidate, filed his papers for the Karnal Lok Sabha constituency.
For the Kurukshetra constituency, Balbir Singh Saini, INLD candidate, and Chunni Manoj Kumar, an Independent, filled their nominations. The CEO said that two candidates had already filed their nominations for the Faridabad constituency on March 15. They included Deepak Gaur, candidate of the Aarakshan Virodhi Morcha Party, and
Sanjay Maurya, an Independent candidate. The last day for filing nominations is March 22.
Asked about the election procedure and directions related to it, Mr Walgad said that the election procedure had started and directions had been issued to all district election officers. The candidates could not carry more than three vehicles to the campus office of DEO, and there should be not more than five persons with the candidate while filing the nominations, Mr Walgad added.
The time of polling has also been increased in the state from 7 am to 6 pm so that no person is deprived of exercising his right to vote, casting his vote due to rush, he added.
